About the Workshop
We conduct short duration workshops for anyone interested (no prior qualifications necessary) in the basics of the Rock Dhokra process. Such workshops are generally 2-5 days. The course design is customised according to the participant's needs and the availability of time for them.

What will you learn
Craft it.
A special wax is prepared by mixing bees wax, resin from a special tree and other ingredients. This wax has the consistency of a play dough which is malleable enough to work on.
Mould it.
The moulds are fired in a special kiln. Metal is melted in a graphite crucible. The motel metal is then poured into each mould.
Break it.
After casting the moulds are broken to reveal the art pieces Since the mould has to be broken it can’t be reused and thus no two pieces are identical.

DAV inspires people to love and care for nature. Devrai is a lush, wooded patch hosting upwards of two hundred species of trees, shrubs and climbers. It hosts several varieties of birds and small animals. This environment inspires us and our visitors and creates the ambience for our work.
