A pot is always considered auspicious and a symbol of plenitude! Whether it is a 'kalash' used in Pooja rituals or a ' Poorna Kumbh' carved out in a Buddhist Stupa, it has been a motif for fullness, fertility and exuberance.
Specially designed at Devrai this Brass pot depicts Nature in all its benevolence!

Yesterday all our remaining craftsmen from Chattisgarh (8 of them including 2 children) left for home by train from Satara. Hope they reach safe and sound. The last I heard from one of them was that they were scared of catching infection from other co passengers. God knows when they will be able to return!
Now we still have in Panchgani all artisans from Gadchiroli who will also be leaving for their native places before the monsoons begin.

Living Sculptures

Bonsais are indeed living Sculptures and the illusion of a big a mature tree can be enhanced by keeping a Rock Dhokra artefact underneath. Thus under the Adenium plant sits a lady with an elaborate coiffure. There's a musician under the Tangerine tree. The canopy of these trees could make one experience the change of seasons! The new, glistening Peepul leaves and the burgeoning Dwarf Guava can give the feel of having a large tree even in a small courtyard or even a balcony!
